Arrowhead Development & Amenities

DMP provided planning, surveying, and design of this 212 Acre Mixed Use Development Project in Mebane, NC just north of I-85/40 off Mebane Oaks Road. DMP surveying services for the project included Arrowhead Boulevard, multiple streams, wetlands and three ponds.

Streams, wetlands and water quality issues were a tremendous obstacle to the development.  There were three ponds and three streams wandering throughout the site. Beyond DMP’s design for addressing several water quality issues, three ponds were submitted for hazard classification with one pond being permitted for breaching because of its high hazard classification.

The Erosion Control plan had 10 phases because of the complexity with the three streams and four wet detention basins were constructed to treat storm water runoff from the site.

DMP worked closely with Dan Ryan Builders, their contractors and review agencies to provide complete surveying and civil site design for the new amenity site. The 1.5-acre site is along Bunker Court and Avalon Drive between Eagle’s Way and Bunker Drive. Amenities include a swimming pool, cabana with bathrooms, playground and parking.
