Davis-Martin-Powell has assisted Moses Cone Health Systems with expansion projects since 1998, and has provided planning, design, and construction administration on several different projects and sites.

DMP provided Site Development services for the new Main Hospital Entrance and a new Cancer Center, shown above. The Hospital Main Entry Addition increased the Hospital area by 9,340 square feet.

The Cancer Center is a 63,000 square foot, two-story clinical treatment center with the potential for a third story addition.

The Wesley Long Hospital Campus covers 25 acres. The site redevelopment associated with this project involved reconfiguration and additional parking on the western 9 acres of the campus, including a new signalized entrance off West Friendly Avenue at North Lindell Road.

A major feature of this project included the construction of a 15 foot high segmental retaining wall with a vehicular / pedestrian barrier parapet to preserve the natural area in front of the Cancer Center.

Another segmental retaining wall was placed along North Buffalo Creek to maximize parking opportunities in the western portion of the site. The project also improved parking lot circulation and pedestrian access.
